Cloch Cora provides individualised in-house and community-based rehabilitation supports designed to maximise the quality of life of the residents, while fostering autonomy, personal growth and development.
The house, designed by Michael Regan at E-Project Chartered Architects, Dungarvan, is built to the highest standards of accessibility and sustainability. It is flexible and adaptable to suit the requirements of the residents while also integrating into the existing architecture of the estate.
Cloch Cora provides five individual resident en suite bedrooms, a communal kitchen, living area and laundry/utility facilities. Residents also have access to a private rear garden area. Sleep in and office accommodation is provided for the rehabilitation team.
The Cloch Cara development includes three high spec independent living units for those over the age of 55 who are living with brain injury or other neurological conditions.
Cloch Cora offers a range of rehabilitation activities including:
All tenants are supported to fully contribute to the running of the house. Tenants are involved in regular tenants’ meetings where key decisions on the day-to-day running of the service are made. Reviews of their individual rehabilitation goals empower them to make decisions about their own personal choices, goals and aspirations.
